Brief Description

Bureau of Obligate and Accompanier for Rural Development (BOARD) is a secular, Bihar-based registered charitable trust. It was founded by a group of dedicated professionals and social workers in the year 1995 with a vision to address the issues of poverty-stricken people and encourage social justice by empowering women, protecting the children, enabling the youth, and supporting the small farmers. We adopt relevant and need-based programs such as livelihood, health, education, skill training, and promotion of their socio-economic rights. BOARD is committed to serve and support vulnerable communities using resources, knowledge tools and networks of institutions

Vision & Mission

Vision: 
To promote and propagate for the creation of discrimination less, logical and balanced society so that the poor and marginalized section of the society will share the benefit of development equally.
Mission: 
To promote people-centered development with a focus on underserved and marginalized individuals and communities through participatory processes to claim, and re-claim, their human rights i.e. right to life, to a life with dignity, to food, to land, and livelihood.

Aims & Activities

The aims for which BOARD Trust is established are educational, social, cultural, economic, and medical relief to the poor and downtrodden and developmental objects of general public utility and community welfare. Hence, we endeavor to achieve our goals through activities that promote sustainable community development in semi-urban and in rural Bihar. This involves strong participation from the members of the local communities under the guidance of BOARD.
We carry out the following activities- 
•	Education to poor children with a focus on girl’s education.
•	Economic opportunity through vocational skill training to young women & youth.  
•	Micro-Credit program for poor and economically deprived women.
•	Capacity building training.
•	Awareness generation and support programs on Health & Hygiene, COVID-19, HIV/AIDS, VAWG, etc.
To harmonize/supplement the efforts and enhance the knowledge base, BOARD also undertakes surveys & studies on vibrant and imperative developmental issues.
