Brief Description

Family for Every Child is a global alliance and network of 40 local civil society organisations (CSOs) in 36 countries with a unique understanding of the challenges of children and families in their communities and country contexts. As local organisations we govern the alliance, set the direction and make the resource allocation decisions. Our alliance enables the dissemination of our local knowledge internationally.
We are united by our common vision of a world where every child can grow up in a permanent, safe and caring family. Together we have a stronger voice to advocate for children and their families. We learn from each other, adapting and amplifying our expertise within communities, countries and across the globe to ensure that girls and boys can grow up safe from exploitation, institutionalisation, trafficking, child labour and early marriage and other forms of physical, sexual and emotional abuse.

Vision & Mission

1.TO PROMOTE THE CARE,PROTECTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGHOUT THE WORLD AND IN PARTICULAR THOSE WITHOUT PARENTAL CARE OR WHO ARE AT RISK OF LOSING PARENTAL CARE;AND 2.TO ADVANCE SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES INCIDENTAL TO THE ABOVE PURPOSE AS THE CHARITY MAY DETERMINE.

Aims & Activities

Family for Every Child is an international network of organisations which work together (under the Charity's guidance) to mobilise knowledge, skills and resources dedicated to ensuring that more children can grow up in safe and caring families or in appropriate alternative permanent care.

Facts & Figures

                            By uniting our skills and knowledge, we achieve greater change for children and families worldwide. Specifically, we aim to achieve the following five goals:
1. Safe and Caring - Enabling children to grow up in permanent, safe and caring families
2. Quality Alternative Care- Ensuring a range of high-quality, appropriate alternative care choices for children
3. Supporting Children Living Independently- Taking steps to prevent children from having to live outside of any adult care, without the care of families or other carers, and in the interim, protecting these boys and girls
4. Better Decision Making - Promoting better and more participatory decision making about children’s care
5. Stronger Child Protection Systems - Building strong child protection systems which strengthen families and promote quality care for children
                            

                            We fight for the rights of the most marginalised and vulnerable girls and boys to ensure the realisation of the 2030 Agenda to leave no one behind.
