Since 2016, The Little Edi Foundation has provided learning and development opportunities for disadvantaged and disengaged 13-18 year olds from Essex to engage in social action through volunteering. The majority of our youth volunteers are from disadvantaged social and economic backgrounds, often with health and emotional difficulties. To ensure equal access to opportunities, we work closely with local schools, youth clubs and social services to reach disadvantaged adolescents who often experience barriers to volunteering opportunities through discrimination and a lack of information.

Our youth volunteers provide vital support in the delivery of our humanitarian and educational community based projects both locally (Essex) and internationally (Moldova).

We believe all children should have equal access to education and learning development, enabling them to reach their full potential. 

In the UK
-  We support vulnerable and at risk children and young people from disadvantaged social and economic backgrounds, often with health and emotional difficulties. 
- Provide poverty relief for vulnerable children across Essex and their families. 

In Moldova: 

- We support the children of rural, impoverished communities in Moldova to access their right to education. 
- Provide humanitarian aid for children and their families who suffer from poverty and starvation.
- Support local Moldovan suppliers and economy by sourcing food items locally.
