Brief Description

Renaisi is a social enterprise that has been helping people and places to thrive for more than 20 years. Our vision is of strong, inclusive communities, where everyone can flourish. We started life in Hackney Council in 1998 to spearhead the regeneration of the borough. Today we work in London and beyond as a leader in place-informed social change. What makes us unique is the fact that we combine two things in one business: we deliver employment support, advice, and engagement services to individuals and we help social organisations and funders to deliver greater impact through our consultancy services. For Renaisi, ‘place’ is central to how we work and everything that we do starts with the question: what does it take to improve a place? We see places as a system of relationships between communities, public services, businesses, and investors and as such, these relationships are key to understanding the strengths and challenges of a place.

Facts & Figures

                            Working from our London offices (in Hackney, Haggerston and Lambeth), we run services that help people to achieve economic and social inclusion.  We do this by creating pathways for people who are unemployed to learn and develop their skills, find and sustain work, and connect with their communities to improve confidence and wellbeing. We work with over 1,000 people a year including refugees, families in challenging circumstances, older residents, and those with work-limiting health conditions. We combine our service delivery with social research and evaluation services to develop a deep insight into community issues, such as economic exclusion, as well as proven ways to reach out and support people.
                            

                            Our front line services are targeted at people who are long term unemployed or employed in low pay or insecure work. We work primarily with refugees, families in challenges circumstances, older residents, and people with work limiting health conditions.
