The Childhood Trust is London’s child poverty charity, dedicated to alleviating the impact of poverty on children and young people living in the capital. We bring companies, philanthropists, and other donors together to fund projects and services that support thousands of children and young people in London each year.

Mission
We alleviate the impact of poverty for children in London by funding and delivering programmes that meet children's practical and emotional needs. We work with children to raise public awareness of their experiences of living in poverty.

Aims & Activities

The objects of the charity are to prevent or relieve poverty or deprivation, in particular among children and young people, by providing grants, items and services to individuals in need and or charities, or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty or deprivation.

Facts & Figures

                            The Childhood Trust is London’s child poverty charity. Children growing up in poverty face multiple challenges which can limit their development and degrade their potential, leading to poor health and life chances. Our work is focused on supporting the 700,000 plus children living in poverty in London.
Since our inception in 2013, The Childhood Trust has raised more than £26 million through our matched fundraising campaigns that have funded the delivery of 918 child poverty projects across all 33 of London boroughs, engaging more than 400,000 children and young people to date. In addition, we run three corporate volunteer programmes: ‘Decorate a Child’s Life’, ‘Meals that Matter,’ and our new “Adventure Playground Project”.  In the last two years the programmes have benefitted over 3,500 children and young people.
