Brief Description

We use our experience and specialist expertise to deliver community services that improve the wellbeing of individuals and our community as a whole. We use our broad experience and expertise to identify and respond to people’s needs, creating innovative health, leisure and community services. This lets us do more each year to support the communities we work with and helps more people enjoy happier, healthier and more enriching lives.

We are driven in delivering high quality community services including everything from managing local parks to staging innovative public and private events, from running sports and community facilities to organising local health and wellbeing programmes for everyone in our communities.

Our approach is inclusive, collaborative and innovative – we involve our partners and our communities to help us shape our service.

Vision & Mission

4.1.1	TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF BOTH INDOOR AND OUTDOOR FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE 
4.1.2	TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHYRECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES; AND/OR
4.1.3	TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF COMMUNITY FACILITIES TO BE AVAILABLE TO ALL SECTIONS OF THE COMMUNITY WITHOUT DISTINCTION, INCLUDING USE FOR MEETINGS, LECTURES AND CLASSES AND/OR OTHER FORMS OF RECREATION, EDUCATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR ALL THOSE WHO USE THE FACILITIES; AND/OR

Aims & Activities

We are a not-for-profit organisation, working in partnership with councils, charities and other organisations to deliver, health, leisure and community services and events that enrich people’s lives.

We work in close collaboration with each other, our partners and the community across everything we do.We use our experience and expertise to identify and respond to people’s needs, creating innovative health, leisure and community services. We reinvest our profit back into our communities to make a positive difference while offering true value for money for all.

This lets us do more each year to support the communities we work with and helps more people enjoy happy, healthier and more enriching lives.

Facts & Figures

                            Enable Leisure and Culture runs a variety or services and events across multiple departments. Our main output is to manage and improve all of then parks and public greenspaces in the borough on Wandsworth. This includes fundraising for physical and environmental improvements above the standard parks maintenance. 
Within our Health and Wellbeing team we run a huge number of public benefit activities. This includes out two successful social prescribing programmes, which help connect people with arts, nature and society to improve their health and wellbeing. We also run befriending programmes, disability sports classes, group walks, support and upskilling young people and working to improve life outcomes in relatively deprived areas. 

Our sports team runs a wide variety of health and fitness classes across the borough to improve people's health. 
We also manage a bereavement service and offer bereavement support and advice.
                            

                            Our physical reach is very broad as is our reach to the people we help. We work with patients who have been referred from the GP, cancer patients, people living with a disability or long term health condition through our health and wellbeing programmes. We also help older people and people experiencing loneliness through our befriending and community outreach programmes. 
When improving parks we work with local schools, communities, and friends groups. 
We work with people living in estates where there are high levels of deprivation. Our sports outreach programmes work with a huge variety of people from training athletes to large numbers of people BAME groups, disadvantages communities and people seeking skills and social interaction. 

We also have a variety of programmes that work intergenerationally to connect young people and elderly people within the borough. 
On a broader sense our organisation helps everyone in Wandsworth who benefit from and use any of the parks.
